Book launch!

After many years of writing, procrastinating, discussing, teaching, mulling and mulling, today is the official publication date of my new book! I want to thank everyone along the way who came to hear my ideas, share their insights, give me encouragement, send me tips, or in the case of my wife, draw her thoughts on sketch paper.

Most of all, heart-felt gratitude to Rabbi Barry Schwartz at JPS for believing in me and my project and helping to give it shape with just a few, highly judicious comments. And to Joy Weinberg, JPS editor and copy editor extraordinaire, for working on the manuscript for a year and putting her heart and soul into each page.

In weeks to come, I’ll be sharing articles, reviews, interviews and events related to the book. For now, I’d like to invite everyone who is in striking distance to NYC to join me at the book launch happening in two weeks! The event is taking place in my hood at the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale on Sunday morning, March 15–event page here. I’m thrilled to be starting out at my spiritual home, where much of the material in the book was first aired.

Additionally, there’s an event page on Facebook–if you’re thinking of coming, feel free to mark “interested” or “going” so I’ll know to look out for you. And I’m looking to do more events, so if you know of places / groups that might be interested, drop me a line.
